HOME DEPOT OPENS ITS DOORS in HIALEAH GARDENS, FLORIDA

The new Home Depot located at NW 138th Street & Okeechobee Rd. at the Shoma Commercial Park has opened its doors for business. This is a sign of the things to come. Along with Home Depot, A Citgo Gas Station is already open and New Lakefront Office Warehouses, Retail & Office Spaces are already under construction. Also now open is NW 138th Street at NW 107th Ave. This allows the free flow of traffic from I-75 Exit all the way thru to Okeechobee Rd. In August 2008, NW 138th Street will become a Six (6) lane Street from 107th Ave. to I-75. This will accommodate the increased traffic to come. The Hialeah Gardens area on NW 138th Street & Okeechobee Rd. is where the future growth of Dade County is coming!!!

Commercial Markets remain healthy in the 1st Quarter of 2008!
Commercial Markets in South Florida remain healthy for the beginning of 2008. Demand for New Office/Warehouse and Retail space in South Florida has not seen the decreases seen in the residential markets. As the Economy continues to struggle, The Federal Reserve has stepped up and REALLY made some historic decisions to save the US Financial Markets and help the struggling US Economy. They came in and opened their lending window to financial institutions and pledged to have available over $400 Billion in liquidity to financial institutions. They have also lowered the FED Funds rate to 2.25% showing their persistence to battle the credit crisis. I continue to predict that we will see a recovery in the housing market sometime around late 2008 to start of 2009. As for the commercial markets, we will continue to see product absorbed at slower rates than last year. However, activity in Commercial Rents has risen and interest in Leases with the option to purchase has become the new choice for savvy buyers/tenants. Overall, If you own commercial property hold on to it.
